What to know
The Gratour im8 and its 12V battery
Later Gratour im8 model years may have start-stop or a battery sensor that controls charging. Where they do, the replacement has to be the same type (EFB or AGM) and may need registering to the car.
Petrol models use maintenance-free flooded batteries, moving to EFB or AGM where start-stop is fitted. Hybrid and electric variants have a small 12V auxiliary battery.
Under the bonnet on petrol models. Because fitment varies by year and trim, a photo of the battery label is the reliable way to match it.

Four steps, and you know what is happening at each one. Nothing is fitted until the battery has been tested.
- 1
Share where the car is
Send a location pin with the road name, direction of travel and the nearest exit or landmark. In a basement, add the level and bay.
- 2
Confirm the car details
Make, model and year, plus a photo of the battery label if you can. That is how the right battery gets loaded.
- 3
Get an arrival estimate
We check access and technician availability, then tell you when to expect us before anyone sets off.
- 4
Test, then jump or replace

Questions
Gratour im8 battery questions
Short answers to what drivers ask before and during a battery call-out.
Which battery fits a Gratour im8?
It depends on the model year and engine. Send the year and a photo of the current battery label, and we match the size, terminal layout and technology before dispatch.
Where is the battery on a Gratour im8?
For Gratour in general: Under the bonnet on petrol models. The exact position on your Gratour im8 can vary by generation, and the technician confirms it from the model year before starting.
Does a Gratour im8 need battery registration after a change?
For Gratour: Confirmed by model and year. If your Gratour im8 needs it, the technician brings the tool and does it on site after fitting.
Can you jump-start a Gratour im8 instead of replacing the battery?
Often, yes. If the battery is only discharged and tests healthy afterwards, a jump start is enough. If the test shows it can no longer hold charge, we explain the reading and can replace it on the spot.
