Who makes Camel batteries and what they are known for
Camel Group is based in Hubei province and is one of the largest car battery manufacturers in China. It supplies original batteries to Chinese carmakers and to joint-venture factories in China, and exports widely. As MG, Geely, Changan and Jetour have grown in the UAE, Camel has become a like-for-like replacement for the battery those cars arrive with.
Camel in UAE heat
The conventional Camel range is sealed and maintenance-free with calcium alloy plates, and the start-stop range comes as EFB and AGM. Many newer Chinese cars have turbocharged engines in tightly packed bays, which run hot around the battery. We check that any battery cover or insulation is put back after fitting, because it protects the battery from that heat.
