Battery brands
Car battery brands we deliver and fit
The logo matters less than the match. We stock these brands in flooded, EFB and AGM so the battery suits the car, then back it with up to 24 months warranty.

Car battery brands compared
A neutral summary. The correct size, technology and a fresh manufacture date matter more than the name on the case.

Battery types
Car battery types: flooded, EFB, AGM and 12V lithium
The technology has to match what the car was built with. Here is what each type is and which cars use it.
Flooded (maintenance-free)
StandardLead plates in liquid acid, sealed top, often calcium alloy grids.
Most Japanese, Korean and older cars without start-stop.
No
EFB
Enhanced floodedFlooded design with reinforced plates and a fleece layer that holds the active material in place.
Entry-level start-stop cars and cars with higher electrical demand.
Yes
AGM
Absorbent glass matAcid held in glass-fibre mats. Sealed, spill-proof, fast to recharge.
Start-stop with energy recovery, most modern German cars, boot-mounted batteries.
Yes
12V lithium
Low-voltage Li-ionA compact lithium pack with its own electronics in place of a lead-acid battery.
Some newer EVs and performance cars. Usually a dealer or workshop job.
Varies
Rule of thumb: replace like for like. An EFB car can move up to AGM, but an AGM car should never be fitted with a standard battery.
Battery by car brand
Not sure which brand? Start with your car
Pick your make to see which battery technology it uses, where the battery sits and whether it needs registering after the change.
How it works
From your location pin to a car that starts
Four steps, and you know what is happening at each one. Nothing is fitted until the battery has been tested.
- 1
Share where the car is
Send a location pin with the road name, direction of travel and the nearest exit or landmark. In a basement, add the level and bay.
- 2
Confirm the car details
Make, model and year, plus a photo of the battery label if you can. That is how the right battery gets loaded.
- 3
Get an arrival estimate
We check access and technician availability, then tell you when to expect us before anyone sets off.
- 4
Test, then jump or replace
The technician tests the battery, explains the reading and carries out a jump start or a replacement. The car is started before he leaves.
Questions
Roadside battery questions, answered straight
Short answers to what drivers ask before and during a battery call-out.
Who makes Varta car batteries?
Varta automotive batteries are made by Clarios, the company that was formerly the battery division of Johnson Controls. The brand itself is German and dates back to 1887. Clarios also supplies factory-fit batteries to many European carmakers, which is why Varta sizes match those cars so closely.
What is the difference between Bosch S4 and S5?
Both are sealed, maintenance-free conventional batteries. The S5 offers higher cold cranking current and more capacity in the same case size, which helps cars with large engines or many electrical consumers. For a standard car with modest equipment the S4 does the job.
Is Amaron a good choice for a Toyota or Nissan in the UAE?
Yes, for models without start-stop. Amaron makes the JIS sizes these cars use, the batteries are sealed, and the grid alloy is chosen for hot weather. Tell us the model and year and we will confirm the exact size and terminal side before the technician sets off.
Is ACDelco the original battery for Chevrolet and GMC?
Yes. ACDelco is the General Motors parts brand, and most Chevrolet, GMC and Cadillac vehicles leave the factory with an ACDelco battery. Fitting the same brand keeps the case size, hold-down and terminals as the car was designed, which avoids cable strain and loose fitment.
Is Exide an American or a European battery?
Both, historically. The company was founded in the United States in 1888, and the Exide name is now used by separate businesses in different regions. The range with Premium, Excell and Start-Stop lines comes from Exide Technologies in Europe. The label shows where a given battery was made.
Does Energizer make its own car batteries?
Energizer car batteries are made under licence by automotive battery manufacturers, not in the factories that make household cells. The manufacturer can differ by region. The label on the battery shows the country of origin and the production date, and you can check both before fitting.
