Some hybrids, the first Ioniq Hybrid among them, use a 12V lithium unit built into the hybrid pack, which is not a roadside replacement item.
Under the bonnet on nearly all models, with a base clamp or top bracket. The older rear-wheel-drive Genesis saloon keeps it in the boot. No registration tool is required on most cars; the sensor recalibrates on its own after the car has been left locked for a few hours.
