On older Mitsubishi Bravo model years the fault is sometimes a corroded terminal, a tired earth strap or a weak alternator, not the battery itself, which is why the charging system is tested before we recommend a replacement.

Flooded or maintenance-free batteries across Lancer, Attrage, Mirage, ASX, Pajero and L200. Versions with Auto Stop and Go need an EFB or AGM battery made for repeated restarts. The Outlander PHEV has a separate 12V auxiliary battery alongside its drive battery, and it can go flat like any other.

Under the bonnet with a top bar clamp on almost every model; on the Outlander PHEV the 12V battery is in the rear load area. No registration. Expect to reset the clock, radio presets and one-touch windows. Small models have short cables, so the terminal positions must match the original.
